Ryodoraku a.k.a Autonomic Nervous System Therapy

What is Ryodoraku?

Ryodoraku is a technique used to balance the amount of energy within each system of the body. Ryodoraku is considered a form of autonomic nervous system therapy because it focuses on assessing and treating imbalances in the autonomic nervous system, particularly the sympathetic and parasympathetic branches, using skin resistance measurements and stimulation. Ryodoraku practitioners believe that these imbalances can manifest as various symptoms and even contribute to the development of disease.

How does Ryodoraku work?

Specific points on the hands and feet are tested to assess the level of energy within each system channel. There are 24 total points tested (12 on the left side of the body, 12 on the right side of the body). The results of the testing will indicate if the energy is within normal range, deficient, excessive, or if there is a split (a significant difference between the left and right side of the body.

Once the points are tested, the information is put into a graph that will indicate how each system needs to be treated. This chart will also provide a baseline of energy level. The Ryodoraku practitioner will treat the split, deficient, and the excessive channels, creating balance within the body.

As treatments progress, the baseline energy levels will increase and each organ system will receive its desired level of energy!

How does Ryodoraku Help with Mental Health?

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, each organ is associated with an emotion. Excessive emotion can disease the organ and a diseased organ can cause excessive emotion. By establishing a healthy energy flow to each organ, it will help alleviate emotions that are chronic or excessive and cause disharmony in life.

The following organ/emotion associations are:
